Junior Vulcans

Junior teams have always been a struggle for all handball teams in this country, with the key reason being trying to attract and tempt juniors away from common British sports such as Football, Rugby & Netball, to a relatively unknown or taught sport in Handball. When we started Chichester Vulcans HC back in May 2018, we had tried starting a Junior team as well as the adults, but with only 2 or 3 juniors attending and showing interest, we had to stop and consider how we could re-start again in the future but with a more sustainable model. The club has worked hard with local schools, Colleges and Universities as well as in our community to raise the profile of Handball and our club. With our club growing positively for the future, we thought 2022 would be our year to start again and try to attract and build junior teams once again. That next chapter....starts NOW!

We currently accept juniors from the age 10yo and above, with the prospect of developing to even younger age groups in the future. With the adult age of 16 in handball being considered adult, anyone of the age 15yo+ we would consider to train with the adults but this can be a consideration to be discussed.
